Welcome to the forum Jim. I also have a 750, but mine is a 76. I bought it a month ago. For the last several years my pride and joy has been my 97 HD Wide Glide-great bike!! But since i bought my 750 the Harley has been parked and I've keeping the road hot with the Honda. Good luck with your's. How about a few pictures.

Thanks for the warm welcome.  Here are some pictures.  As you can see, I have a lot of work ahead.

First my favorite shot.  As you can see at the base of the exhaust, it's missing the fins.  I need to find them, but I don't know what they are called.  Can someone tell me what I need to order?



I need both side covers.  The tank and the seat are not attached to the frame, either.



The ugly fairing is already gone.  I like the sound of the 4 in 1 exhaust.  It sounds really deep.



It starts up, but won't stay running.  I'm going to start with the easy fixes first, plugs, seafoam in the tank, etc.

Welcome to the forum, good to see another Texan resurrecting a CB! I have a 78 750k I am getting cleaned up and ready for reassembly. Looks like a clean bike, though I would have to pull those fmf stickers right away(good call on the windscreen)!!! PO should be brought up on charges! I have the same pipe you have. I am cutting it off at the muffler and baffling the header, so it should be even meaner sounding! If you have any questions, you're in the right place to find the answers... Welcome!

Jim, The PO of my 76 750 put a 4 into 1 system on it that is similar to yours. Mine doesn't have the exhaust joints or fins either. I don't think they will work or they may not be required on this type of pipe. I want to put the factory type exhaust back on mine, but your looking at around $1200 or so. Good pics all it needs is some TLC!!!

Think I may have posted you b-4, but just saw your noobie post . Give me a call , I live in the Katy area and will gladly assist you in cleaning your carbs to make the machine idle and run right, (no charge) prolly just gunky if she has been siiting for a bit.Also I may have some exhaust collars with the fins.
