Topic: Interchangable seats?

So, I have this 78 550K and a PO put on a really ugly seat. I want to get a flat one but as you know they are hard to find in decent shape. I would have more options if I knew which seats fit on it. I really don't care if it is "correct" for the year or not, I just want it to fit on there properly. So, does anyone know which years and model seats would attach on this bike, preferably without any modifications?

1977 and 1978 CB550 (K-series) are only interchangable with one another.

No other years of K-series will work
No other F-series will work

Only those 2 years of that K model work.

I don't want to start a new thread for the same question, but I also don't wan to tohi-jack your thread......

I would like to know what seats are interchangable with the cb750K K8. It currently has a king/queen seat.

Very true. I have both a K8 750 and a K7 750. They are interchangeable between eachother but that's as far as that goes. No other years/models will fit without modification. I *believe they are either too short or too long and the mounts are a bit different. I have a K7 "flat" seat. Needs new upholstery, but it might be a starting spot. PM me if your interested.
