use one of these. basically it's a relay box so the trailers lights arent powered by the vehicles tail/brake/turn lights, theyre just used to activate a relay in the box.

Depends on how you want to wire the bike and trailer together.  If your using just a 4pin, then you should and the relay box that Bucky katt posted.  I have a 6pin on my wing and trailer so at some time I can add electric brakes when I build my teardrop.

I always wondered about electric brakes on a bike, if you gotta tow it seems like a good idea. The Can-am is probably the best bike to tow with.

I built a single axle trailer for my three wheeler and 2 jr dragsters.I used SO cord for wiring, like a good drop cord wire. It can be bought with as many conductors as you need. Or just use two drop cords.

Because it's three wheeled?  My Goldwing has about the same HP as the Spyder.  I've never had a problem hauling my trailer, just takes a little more stopping room.  I think I could hold my own with one on my two wheeled couch. ;D ;D
