attn. UK and euro members...
« on: November 30, 2009, 05:11:19 PM »
I'm looking for a "home market" tank for my '71 BSA thunderbolt. This is the larger capacity tank that wasn't offered in the US. Any OIF triumph or BSA tank will work. If anyone can find one for me, please PM me.

thanks. if i was going to have the tank shop or TA Baker make a tank for me, i'd go a completely different route though. this tank was sold on all OIF triumphs and BSAs on your side of the pond, so there must be some around for cheap. i saw a completed listing on ebay.uk for 55 pounds. i'll continue looking online... i was hoping someone here might have a local "autojumble" (isn't that what you guys call the salvage dealers?) that would have a cheapie.

If you find one on ebay uk and need a post office cos they wont sell international i'm sure something cam be arranged.
At least we can still ship surface mail UK to US which is cheaper but takes longer

You need a copy of Old Bike Mart - tons of Triumph and BSA suppliers in there. I'll get a number of one on the front for you who claims to have 100 tonnes of spares, surely a tan in there somewhere...

hey guys- keeping an eye on this one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180444664046&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en#ht_500wt_1102

any chance i could get help from one of you guys if the seller doesn't want to sell/ship internationally? i have a friend in london i could ask, but he's not a moto-head, and it might be easier if someone used to dealing with motorcycle parts could help...

thanks! my friend in london said he'd be happy to help, and since he ships packages regularly it shouldn't be a problem. unless one of you is close enough to the seller to pick it up in person, this should work out well enough.

The seller is inside the M25, that is London, depending on what part your mate lives in you should be good to go.
