Got some GREAT news...
« on: November 30, 2009, 05:15:42 PM »
After over 2 years trying (the last year and 1/2 working with a specialist) the wife and I are having a baby!  She's about 10 weeks along (little early to be telling folks but we're excited) and doing well.  Doc said we're past the part where he was worried and we're now seeing the regular OB instead of the reproductive specialist.

Here's to the next 6 1/2 months of fun...

Congratulations, I have been through that whole scene along with many people I know and it is very hard. Enjoy the miracle. Our miracle is in his bedroom doing his homework. God Bless.

My son is only 22 months old, but he already has an obsession with anything that has wheels, so he's definitely off to a good start.  He even has his own radio controlled Jeep and actually knows how to use it. :)

My daughter was "free"... my son (later) was $60,000 in fertility treatments.  My wife and I both got started late.  Thankfully, we had insurance to cover a lot of the expense but no matter what the cost, the result is amazing.  My kids (age 10 and 6) are 2 of the most fascinating people I know.  Someone once told me that you think it's such a miracle to have a baby in the crib... well, hang on brother, it just keeps getting better.  So far, I'm in complete agreement.

I go all melancholy thinking about what a wonderful blessing it is to have a family.

Congrats to you and the old lady.  My little boy will be three in February and I still vividly remember the exact moment I saw his tiny feet emerging from my wife's belly.  The joy still overwhelms me when I think about it.  Good luck to you both.

Hey congrats man, OK now you won't be able to afford those bikes so have them crated up and sent to NZ c/- Hush. ;)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I have 6 children 4 in college.  I would not take a million dollars for them or give you a nickle for another one.  However the grand daughter is a completely different story.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I have 3 (2x7 and one is almost 5).  One kewl thing is when you have a bad day, someone is still excited to see you, when you get home.  When they get older, they might not be so excited to see me, lol.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

You raised the kids so you are a parent. A parent is who raises you. The rest is only biology.

Sweet! We had given up by 2000 but The Good Lord said Theyre ready now! Today was my oldests 6th birthday. He told his Nana he wanted a Honda faster than mine. The z-50s ive been eying cost more than some 750s! Our 16th anniversary is up next week. I dont know if theres a right or good age to become a Father but 32 was the right age for us.
