Ops, OK the local native peoples of New Zealand (Maori) greet each other and anyone they consider worth greeting by touching foreheads together and touching noses (whereas Europeans shake hands)
This symbolises (according to my research) the sharing of knowledge, the touching of noses seems to be incidental.
At the prison I work in we have a special Unit designated just for Maori prisoners (Maori make up only 15% of the general population but 90% of the prison population) and that is where I start work this Saturday.
