No you DON'T get it... read what I typed.
The guy in the van said #$%*ING IDIOT.
I would have to agree, passing on a blind corner in a double yellow and, beyond that, not having the skill to follow the corner anyway.
But, I'm the dick, so wtvr.

Thats a pretty ignorant view there, i am no Harley fan but if they came round a blind corner and had a near stationary van blocking the road then WTF are they supposed to do. Road tractors DON'T stop that well.....

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

OPEN YOUR EYES MATE.....haven't you ever been on a ride like that, we have a similar road in south east Queensland that is that tight and a mate and i very nearly ran into the back of an idiot stopped in the middle of the road and taking photo's, my mate was in front of me and didn't brake as hard as i did so we ended up side by side forcing me to do almost the same thing that happened here, you weren't there you don't know anything about what these guys were doing and you slag off the bikers......don't worry mate i wouldn't ride with you anyway.....  You may also like to explain WTF skiing has to do with riding a bike... ::) Your melodramatics make you sound like a tool.....get over yourself....

Ride within your limits.  Its posted all over ski resorts.
Glad to hear that I come off dramatically.
Most everyone on the internet do not, I'll take it as a compliment.

No, I've never been on a ride where I could not stop in time to not hit a car in my lane, going the same direction.  I have plenty of twisties in my neck of the woods, I know how to ride safely.

I say the bike rider was a fool.
On a bike you can overtake on the inside of a corner where you can see what's upcoming, but on an outside corner ???   Foolishness and impatient ::)

The van appeared to be doing the speed limit which I am sure in that stretch is only about 45MPH or 55 MPH max. Even if they are stopped in the middle of the road it is the driver's fault behind them for not putting enough stopping distance in front of them.

The idiot biker is at fault for passing on a blind curve at passing speed, Retro.
On a double yellow line to boot also.

the rider was a doofus.  I think if he was more experienced he could have leaned into that turn and made it.

I would be awfully surprised if that van was doing 45, it looks like it almost comes to a stop at times. The thing the bikes did wrong was locking the rear brake, thats why they both stood up and both almost left the road...The lack of speed of the van makes it look far worse for the bikes than i suggest it really was.

he pulled a noob move, if he leaned in and gently applied the brakes evenly into the proper lane, I think he would have made it.

Speed limit at the dragon is 30mph and that's optimistic for most passenger 4 wheelers. THat was the motorcyclists fault 100%.

Van in the front has the right of way, passing on double yellow is only allowed when the passer can do so safely. 100% the passers responsibility to complete the pass safely.  The motorcyclist was obviously over his head, locked the rear brake, target fixated on the offroad solution, never a good thing.

I love the dragon as much as the next guy, passed on double yellow many times, nearly crashed a few times, but always respected the 4 wheelers. Its hard for them to get out of their own way.  It will eat you up, not a playground, many 2 wheelers die there.

I was a little concerned that the van drove on, but with that many Harleys around, he was probably scared, and all those guys have cell phones so help would be there shortly.

I have seen that vid before.  Either on here or another forum, can't remember.  I got over the bike thing perty quick but kept laughing at the people in the van.  They were a hoot to me.
