it's gonna screw up our already socially inept kids.
for example, I have some relatives that read messages I send them on facebook and don't reply, then I call them to get an answer and they say "oh, yeah I read that" to which I say "well #$%*ing reply man!"
I equate this phenomenon to; walking up to someone, telling them something important, and they look right past you at something going on behind you and walk off. Never even registering that they heard what you said.
