To be honest they only told me 6 months of PT before evaluation. I was a little surprised at that, considering I have never broken anything in my life. I figured with all kinds of broken stuff I'd be laid up forever.
My friend Angie is a nurse. (This is her Sam

) and she basically told me that I am the fastest healing person she has ever seen. My ribs are at about 80% density when compared to the rest and my legs aren't that far behind. So she says the doctor recommended short period PT for now and then an evaluation for more.
I was hoping to lose weight while in the hospital.... didn't happen. I actually gained weight!! I now weigh 285lbs!!

35lbs in a matter of weeks..... someone kill me.

My cousin (we had the same name... creepy I know) got me started in all this business. He and I built a twin turbo Ducati that he raced at Bonneville and had set-up for 1/4 mile but never made it that far. He got hit by a drunk driver while working on a trencher on the side of the road.
It is in his name that I started my shop.
Anyway the same year he took his Duc I decided to take my turbo KZ1428 and see what it could do with a little regearing. I got to 180 there about and in the middle of the run lost the front tire. Literally unraveled at speed. Sent it back to Avon and got 4 free sets for my trouble.
I hit the salt at approximately 154mph and besides serious bruising and minor internal trauma I had seperated both of my shoulders... dislocated my thumbs, forefinger on my left and middle on my right hands... Severe concussion even with my helmet on... and a seriously damaged pride.

My legs were virtually untouched minus some bruises. I actually got up and ran towards the ambulances.
But there's a catch.... I was wearing under armor, leather suit with built in armor, secondary back plate, and a hip girdle. I tend to value my health when riding dangerously.
So I rebuilt the bike... sold it to a long time customer, and here's where it is at after this year's season. He actually rides this thing everyday!!

hang in there Havoc, you may heal up enough that we wont have to call you Havocane.. ![Grin ;D](http://forums.sohc4.net/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
I think, they try to prepare you for the worst case.
I tried to avoid the pain threads, reminds me a lot of when I was in plaster for a year.. then I ended up with a cane for quite a while. my leg healed bent. After a while they decided to operate, and straightened it out, and put a plate in... now it is far better.
Just saying, its a long road ahead, and you cant really rush it..
If you get time, see if you can fill us in on the Bonneville episode..
