I took a look at that Wrench Monkeys site and I have to say, I'm not impressed. Poor quality work and suspect HP figures for the two CB750's, and extreme "form over function" with crappy car tires fitted, incorrect shock absorber mounting, painting over dents, etc. I's scary to me that some folks will happily ignore their own safety to make something that they think is pleasing to the eye.  ::)

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

Also look at the distance the front tyre is away from the headers on the Wrench monkeys KZ-750, if you hit the brakes hard the wheel would hit the pipes.....that would be fun.....  :o

They'll probably tell you that they've designed it that way to keep the tire nice and warm Mick, you need all the traction you can get in Europe in Winter, ha ha! ;D

Ken Oath mate, it's 39 degrees C (whassat, 100 deg F?) in the warehouse as I type this, luckily for me I'm in the airconditioned office, but the boys look well p1ssed off out there! ;D

I decided to put it back together like stock. The wiring is figured out, and I have been going through and cleaning grounds as everything is rubber mounted.  I also happened to have yellow spray paint, so I painted the tank.Presently I'm working on the starter situation as I can hear it spin, but it doesn't engage. I'll put a picture up tomorrow after work.

Starter probably has jammed clutch, make sure battery is full too so you get plenty of spin happening.
Glad you decided to go stock, I'd probably return it to some of it's previous looks then sell it off to a baby boomer who owned one in his youth. ;D

Who thought those God awful double bucket seats would ever be classy???? ::)

I pulled my alternator off to get to the starter clutch.



the little hairpin clip doesn't belong, but there should be 3 rollers, 3 springs, and 3 "pistons".  I saw little bits of curly metal that probably used to be a spring.  :'(  Also not the tops of the screw heads.

Then, in the "clutch body", the threaded holes have been beat beyond use. I suppose I could have the holes drilled and helicoiled, but until then I removed the offending bits and will keep it kickstart only. (for now.)
