CB750 fork ear interchangeability
« on: December 05, 2009, 12:46:55 PM »
I tried to search and found some similar posts, but none are specific enough. So...Another interchangeability question:
Will CB750 K2 fork ears fit on a K4? If so, will they look funny?

I think they will look OK. The turn signals may mount differently though.

Donnie has it right. The K2 blinker studs mount through the headlight bucket bolt. The K4 ear has a bolt hole for the headlight bucket and behind that is another hole for the blinker stud. The NOS K2 ears are easy to find on eBay. The K4 with the 2 holes are about non-existant as far as NOS. I found a nice used pair and will be chroming them.

Thanks, that what I was afraid of.

You can find them. Just be patient. I forget which side, but one side tends to rust out towards the bottom of the K4 ears. So you have to look at them close. Finding some not bent is another deal.
