Yah, good one there Buck.  I did pick up a spare but had to go the Yamiya route.

and those arent oem i believe, honda has stopped making them.

NOS K2 - K6 tailight plate / socket the rear lense mounts too. Dealer, Yamiya, Western Hills, Silver Spares, CMSNL have none. I guess I will have to clean up my used one. No way to get the plate separated from the plastic reflector or I would have it chromed. Appears that socket is press fitted onto the plate.

I kew he was working on it but do not know if he had resolved it, at least fully.  i think he had a few test ones to get some results but that is all I know about.

I do have 4 for test. They appear to be 100% correct, but would like to roll down the road with one before selling them. As of today, we've had all 58" of annual winter season snowfall so far, but winter isn't here, yet...as I'm typing, it is now 2 degrees and falling. It will be a while before I can test.  :(

My vote for rare parts: valve rocker shafts for 750. I'm making those this winter, too. The list is growing, and I'm finding willing sources of machine shops here in town to make the parts, so as soon as I finish this book, the other parts will begin....rocker shafts, swingarm collar, refurbished voltage regulators, refurbished cam bearings (aka rocker towers).

I would like to help test but I would be an aweful tester since the bike is not a daily driver and really gets driven very little.  It would take way to long to get any results that you would need.  Heck, I haven't even ridden my bike in months.  The chiropractor and neuro surgeon would have a cow if they heard i was riding my 800lb'der.

I have 3 for sale at the moment, but a little pricey: they would be $112 on your (lower 48 States) doorstep. That's $105 plus $7 shipping...these are my test sprockets for 'other riders'. I was originally going to just send them to high-mileage test riders, but as I have been unemployed so long, my coffers are too empty to do that right now. If I can't find buyer-testers for them, I'm going to use them on the next 3 bikes I'm building, as I offer a considerable warranty on the bikes and don't want to send them out with JT/EMGO sprockets on them: they will eat the chains too quickly.  ;)
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Johnie, not sure what you have there, I checked 3 taillights 71 or earlier, they all had steel reflectors that appeared more rectangular..

I think it may be same light as 350/450 and findable on ebay.., will try to check part #.

Part number is 33703-341-671. This is the basic OEM Stanley. The 69-71 are the smaller unit and still available from the dealer. I will check eBay for the 350/450 might be the same one. Thanks for the tip.

Johnie, thought that WAS the small one.now I can see its bigger by the hand in the pic.. never even thot of late one being HTF

Should be same as many models, usually  what Honda did..

When you search, try Honda taillght, motorcycle taillight, bike taillight, etc... thats what I did to find the rarer stuff.. ya gotta sort thru a lotta crap, but find the odd major cool pce..+ if they dont know what its from, thats where it will end up..hunting ground of the resellers..

I cant even look on ebay anymore..ancient computer..

I got a tail light from a '78 for $15 from ebay.  It was like new. I just used the plate with my '75 mount.
There is a slight difference in the rubber grommets in the plate.
My old one was rusted from sitting full of water for years.

Thanks 754...I will give those search words a try. I was surprised the 69-71 are still available from the dealer and not the K2-K6. I suppose because there are a lot more K2-K6's out there and they depleted the stock?

I am surprised that folks are having trouble finding 73-76 headlites ears, and that they say 72 is easy to get on ebay.
The 72 is a 1 year only part, looks the best too as there is no signal lite holes..

Johnie, I am thinking due to policy changes they  built and carried less parts for the future, than in the old days..

Also, I think if you bid on a light for a 750, there is more bidding competition than parts for 350 and 500 and 450s
