Its been in the mid 20s the last few days. Its a 4 mile ride to the shop. Its not too bad for that distance as long a s the roads are clear.. I been thinking tho,, that if it gets under 10, I may have to break down and start wearing goggles, it will be a bit too cold then with an open face helmet.
I am thinking too, I may have to get winter gloves, these summer ones are a bit hard on the hands... getting a bit cold for jeans too..

Ahhh, maybe I am just getting old and soft.....

I'm in Los Angeles, and it was around 50 degrees tonight... and I thought it was too cold to ride to my studio six miles away. So I drove!

It's been into the 30's every morning. I've got about a 15 minute ride to work.

I wear 2 pairs of long johns with jeans, thin winter gloves with welding gloves over them, t-shirt, 2 zip up hoodies and my riding jacket.

The only thing that gets cold is my toes on my left foot, my boot has a hole worn in it from shifting.

Anybody ride in the snow? I haven't yet, kinda wanna try out the dual sport tires i've got on the 350 in the snow though.

I have the same time commuting and same temps - jeans, riding jacket, regular clothes underneath and thin winter gloves...and full face helmet. Same as my summer gear

. This morning it was heavy rain and flooding (like over the boot water) - I found out my waterproof trousers are not so waterproof and my gore-tex Hein gericke jacket (bought about 6 years ago) is not so good anymore...very disappointing. Time for some new waterproof gear...

Nice you all get weather that is cold but still rideable. Not happening here today. Yesterday we got rain which turned to ice that got covered with snow. Walking on a slant isn't working unless you want to slide that direction!

Don't forget about the oil in the engine having to warm up to full operating temp. (see the thread about the sludge in the oil). Worry about the BIKE...not your grubby meat hooks.

You live in the interior of BC, for heaven's sake! Don't tell me you don't own cold weather clothing?! Even living on the coast we needed cold weather gear. C'mon, get out there and ride. Get on your long johns and flannel-lined jeans.

This AM it was about -2 C here, with a light snow on the ground. The wife took the car anyway; figured I'll just have to ride to get errands done.

There, somebody had to castigate ya; might as well be me. 'Course, I don't really have to go anywhere till it warms up.
