if you have one...you should be able to get a key for it. otherwise, when I get to that part of my teardown and partout of the k4, I will let you know. I also have the seat lock, but not the ignition switch.

Thank you myhondas that will be magic....
What happened was this; bought a cb750k2 basket case but all there and totally original/untouched..even though a lot was unusable it gave many new insights into originality issues that folk have argued with endlessly!! (Especially Candy custom gold on tank!) When I bought it , it did not have a key for the steering lock, but I had a spare lock that I thought was OK, when I had sprayed the triple tree lower, and went to get the spare lock, it turned out not OK.....
So, I tried every key I had in both with no luck...
Getting the original lock out of the K2 was a nightmare, I had to whack it with a hammer carefully tap it out losing my temper often using lots of lube and patience ....

I am OK for Ignition and seat catch thanks these work fine....

The reason I was talking seat, fork, and ignition was so that only ONE(1) key would be needed for the bike instead of multiple ones to run one bike.  The only thing that is missing is the ignition and that could be easly fixed. Hate to have to carry three keys to work on bike.

Thank you, no probs about more than one key, seat lock has been painted and is on frame complete with its little K2 swivelly thing that hides the keyhole, and I have resoldered the wires on the back of ignition so dont really want to change these items, but greatly appreciated your offer......Did you mean you wanted to sell them alltogether as a lot? cos if you did i dont mind that, It would give me spares..again thanks and whatever is convenient to you.

I have some extra fork locks, possibly your key may fit one as there weren't that many keys. You'd have to disclose it obviously, but its not a particular secret as its on the face of the locks.

I'm sure many others  have fork locks as well.

If the lock turns, it only takes a few seconds to pick it. Last time I used a windshiled wiper metal insers to do it.

Oh what a Brilliant idea, I will get the key and find the number and post it here...Thanks...I am sure no ones going to catch an international flight, steal my partially rebuilt K2 , put the rest together in the night whilst I am doing me misses sleeping and then crate it up and pay shipping to the USA...Or would they?  (it is rather nice and they could take a video of me doing the misses sleeping, and post it up on youtube so folk could laugh at me)
OK, got me keys.....there are two....The first one is for the ignition and says Honda 21 I (that appears to be twenty one and the letter I)
The second key says Taylor USA and on the same side says H76W and on the other side is stamped T4729...
Does this make any sense? They are on the original fob... But now I am wondering about the "Taylor USA" part cos this is a UK bike and has not been imported.
Thanks again...

the T4729 is the key code for the key cutter that is what you would find on the lock also. I will check my locks to see what they are. If you had the locks without the key, by checking for that #, a locksmith can cut another key for you. Those bikes used the T keys. Not only did they look like a T, but that was the honda code for that style.
