Forgot to mention, you might be charged VAT in Australia on the declared Value. In SA the VAT is 14%.

VAT is only charged on orders sent to European Union countries, not the rest of the world.
Like Kevin says, you may be charged some type of VAT/import duty when it reaches Aus.

Don't you already have that in the form of Sales Tax?

in aus i think we dropped sales tax in place of the gst(goods and sevices tax)so then prices went down(or stayed the same)then 10% was stuck on top, were used to it now(dosent mean we like it)some prices include gst some dont, depending on the item,in the 80s we had a fbt(fringe benefit tax)for example if you got a company car and phone account you paid tax on it.i was going to fart but couldnt afford the (fkcu all related tax)

I thought farting went under the "Pleasure and Entertainment Tax"??
And that the rate was proportional to the loudness/smell factor??

Just a question. ;)
