750 frame/ 500t motor

question: i have a 71 750 frame and a cb500t motor. should i pair them up? i'd like to make a cafe bike, but would that be weird with the size of frame compared to the size of the motor? has anyone ever done this?

maybe i'll just find a 500t frame.

You can probably find more frame parts for a CB750 than a 500t. Might look a little weird, but would fit a bigger person.

Swap trade or sell the 500 motor for a 750 of comparable condition, doing a cafe' is hard enoughw ithout the added worry of weather parts will fit. ;D
I think I know someone looking for a 500 motor. ;)

On second thought a 500T is a pretty tall motor, measure carefully before you decide, it'd be nice not to have to pull the motor to change top end parts...

i sat the 500t motor i have into the wrecked k6 750 frame and in my opinion theres way too much space around the twin motor.

i figured the 750 frame would swallow the motor. i'll swap with someone if they have either a 500t frame, or a 750 motor... preferably for the motor. definitely local, i dont want to fool with shipping.

i DO have a 76 500t frame but it's REALLY rusty and i have no title.

If you can do it, and you want to, Do it.
Why Not. It will be easer to install the 500 motor than the 750 after you get the motor mounts sorted. That is a +++

I owned a 500 twin in the the late 70's that I purchased used for $650. I rode the hell outa it and ended up seizing the top end somehow. It had some weird cam follower system..............I dunno............hell...........it was the 70's  ;D. Anyways.........I didn't care much for that bike as compared to a 450 twin.

Mmm, what did you find that differed from the 500 to the 450. I have had them both and they are for the most part the same motor. I loved the 450 the most but only due to it being a black bomber.
