Oil Coolers
« on: December 05, 2009, 01:40:06 PM »
I just bought my 2nd CB750 and this time it's an 75 F stocker. I wanted to put on an oil cooler but the engine requires an oil filter adaptor and the OEM 4 into 1 Super Sport header is in the way. Not to mention there is no where to mount the cooler itself on the frame because of the wire harness junction box and the horn. I have been going over this oil cooler thing for day and just can't figure it out. Any ideas or helpful hints would be mucho appreciated!!
Thanks,

For some reason, I can't see your picture(s).  I'm curious about how you mount your oil cooler as well...

I understand that using the engine-side line that returns oil to the tank is a nice trick.  Direct it to the cooler and return to the engine.  I'm told it's not high pressure and at it's hottest... I may try this if I go 850cc.  Also, AutoZone seems to have power steering fluid coolers for 20 bucks.  They're part # 911009.  Now who's gonna make a nice bracket for all us folks that would like to do this?  ;)
