PFFFT! I did too mate, at the Bairnsdale show in '67 or '68, as did probably half the population of my little Aussie country town. On that basis, probably half of the worlds population did too, "back in the day", so hardly a "bask-worthy" event, methinks.................

The original Barris Batmobile is in the Cars of the Stars museum in keswick, Cumbria...hope it survived the floods!

i saw that movie (glen ford was cool) and that ford was super cool. i'll have to rent the film again.

thanks terry for trying to crush my ego... again. but i'm pretty sure the "batmobile" they shipped all the way to oz was one of the lesser show circuit cars (ones they didn't mind getting lost at sea) and the one i sat my diapered butt in was one of the "hero cars" seen on tv. 

this is still my favorite but the 80's car is a second and the one clooney rode in suuuuuucked.

im pretty sure that heli flies over my house every day in the summer.
i think its at the ohio state fair every year. takes people up for like 60 bucks a pop.

The Bat Boat was built by Glastron Boats in Austin, Texas and the 1966 Batman movie premiered at the Paramount Theater also in Austin.

I've seen the Bat mobile in person, pretty cool.  Good thing T.V's were lo-def back then, there are some waves in the bodywork.
