Anyone recognise what model this tank is from?
« on: December 07, 2009, 03:52:31 AM »
I don't recognise it as being from any of the SOHC/4s, though I could well be wrong. It came with the bunch of parts that I was given with my 500 and 550, but is definitely different to the K and F tank that I have. In the picture from above you can see it has tiny little knee dents.

Cheers,

Hi
The tank reminds me of the old Honda CB500T from 1975-78 or there abouts. I checked out a picture on the net and it looks about spot on.

Cheers

I took one look at the picture of the tank and instantly recognised the tank of the bike that I had hankered after back in 1977...until I rode one. Found this as well...

Yeah, even though the 500T was supposed to be an effort to keep the 450 alive, it WASN'T one of Honda's best efforts. I'd much rather have the 74' 450 than a 75' 500T.
Just my feelings about the deal. :) I DO like some of the features though and would most likely use them on a 450. ;)
