What ? there was MORE than one Dukes of hazard general lee's ...

? I thought those Good old Duke boys patched her up whenever she got wrecked, I am sure I remember them doing it in many of the shows I saw as a youngster..
Maybe the episodes we got in the UK were different to the USA ones.
If there really were "many" general lee's (and I am still not convinced) just where did those good old Duke boys keep them hidden? Their spread (in the episodes we got in the UK at least) comprised of a farmhouse and a barn.
Given that it would have been impracticable to "hide" many general lee's in the farmhouse itself even if Daisy were to vacate her bedroom and sleep on the floor downstairs to make room for a single general lee, (which might have been visable anyway when Ma was cooking)
That would only leave the barn, where those good old Duke boys had the "Real" general Lee in anyway which I know to be true because I saw many episodes where they were indeed patching the old girl up after being chased by "Rosco" and having other misadventures.
Had there been any other "general lee's" in the barn, I am sure it would have been hard if not impossible to keep them adequately hidden for the whole two series ( and a feature film) without giving the game away.
Here ( in the Uk at least) there are a large number of folk who strongly believe in "those good old duke boys" being able to patch up the real General lee, and furthermore have used this belief , to impress friends at dinner parties with their knowledge of those good old duke boys ability to be able to repair what at first and second glance would appear irreparable especially if there was only a couple of hours before a major cross country race, where only the real general lee could win.
