yeah, that's not exactly the definition of grace... $:-\$ i haven't finished building my tubing bender, and this one was really just a mock-up to teach myself how to make a muffler that sound good, and next time look good. gonna buy a slip roller any day now too, and try making megaphones for the 4-2 i'll be using with the 718.

very cool when can i come see it??? fellow oregonian?? btw watch the rear tire and that tail. i've broken mine already with a big bump in the road. looked like someone hit one of them stupid KIA cars, plastic flew everywhere LOL!!

yeah, but i do have shocks on mine.

i've been running it for a year or so onow, with no problems, but i also had a mudguard until recently. i took it off to fit my aluminum seatpan i made. gotta get that upholstered. if you're ever in the rose quarter area, feel free to swing by my shop. do you have a tubing bender, or are you buying your frames? still need a few more parts for mine, but i'd love to see one working.

i gots a bender a notcher tig or mig welders lathes etc etc. the biggest die i have for my bender is 1 1/4 at the moment though.

Hey Paul,

Just when I already thought you had a very cool bike, you go and make it better! The details you've added, are "Awesome" touches that really set it off.

That gas tank with the added striping and the Honda emblems are a "Fantastic" touch! Can't wait for you to get that "Monster Motor" in that sucker and take it for a spin. Bet you can't wait either.

the badges are off of a '69 cb350T, but they were on several of the 60's honda models. yeah, the clip ons are pretty low right now (makes me feel like i'm going 100mph at 45...

), but the position is actually much more comfortable to me than clubmans with a stock seat. the ride height is really low because of the seat, and the bike is really light so if feels smaller than a 350 or 400.

Wouldn't want anyone to be misled into thinking that these are all (or most) ridable. Presently, the 750 runs. The motors turn over and feel good on the CB650 (which is minus body parts), one 74' CB450, (the 74' CL450 motor is apart and waiting reassembly) the CB400F, the CB350F, the Kaw F9 350, the 73' RD350, the RV90, the 79' DT175, and the CB500K motor (want to put that in my 73' CB500K) I have. Motors are seized in the others. Might say that I spent some time gathering up some projects to work on and forgot when to stop.

still, the list you posted in another thread sounds like a group photo alone would be quite impressive.

It I ever get a chance, I'll see what I can do. You have to remember that I've got 3 (750 has a sidecar on it)in my 1-car garage (along with toolboxes, shelve assemblies (w/ at least 5 shelves each), a 5 drawer file cabinet (w/ motorcycle, car and truck magazines). I've got a 12 x 14 building with 4 in it, along with some fork sets, gastanks, seats, fenders and various parts. I've got a 12 x 20 Canopy (looks like a temporary carport (w/ tarps on all sides) with about 10 in it, along with 6 or 8 frames and about 8 or 10 wheels. Then, I've got a small wooden shed (used to be a "playhouse") with 4 in it, along with an extra sidecar body. I've also got a swingset frame with tarps over it (and a tarp attached to it for more space) and it has at least 10 in there. And then I've got 3 sitting by the swingset frame and a tarp thrown over them. I may have miscounted somewhere, but I think you get the idea. To get a picture of all of them would be a pretty good chore and, forME to attempt to post it would be pretty trying. I don't actually have the best track record in that area. I have been trying to get some pictures of each one, for the record. I thinned the number down some (sold 3 81' Yam XS650s, an 85' Yam TY350 but then and traded a TS125 for a 60's Jawa 250) and a little while later on, I got 3 in a deal (a 73' RD350, a 75' F9 350 Kaw Big Horn, and a Hodaka 100 Road Toad). Then a little later on, I got 3 more (CB350F, CB650C and a Suz RV90) Also, I've got an 82' Gold Wing "Parts job" to check on. BTW, will a Wal Mart Disposable camera take a picture of that much stuff, cause that's my camera of choice (for now) by necessity.

That is sweet lookin' . Here I was browsing around for engine painting tips for my cb500 hardtail bobber style project and I see this beautiful Cafe style I think I know what I'm going to do with my 360T.

Picked it up on the cheap and was CAREFULLY(note the pic date) cruising around in front of the house. Couldn't decide what to do with this one till now. Not one to copy someone else's work but it's provides a great reference.

well, at just over two years in this bike i'm about to begin tearing it back down to prepare it for the 718 engine. plan to lose the sidecovers and move the electrics, not to mention a deep clean...i can put 'em together, but i sure can't keep 'em clean. i just acquired a cb550 road racer from a member of this forum (in trade for building him a 550/650 cafe racer) that has inspired me to consider some bracing of the frame to accommodate the 718cc engine as well. the racer deserves it's own thread, but i'll probably wait until i start going through it to post pictures. here's a sneak peek anyway:

action fours 605cc kit (12.5/1 CR), megacycle cam, LOTS of bracing, drive chain tensioner, alloy rims, etc.

really really good looking bike. I'm with you on the whole DIY business. I would be able to appreciate the parts a lot more in the sense as well as save some money. great inspiration for beginners like myself

sorry to steal thread for a moment, but CBJUNKIE...just out curiosity, what brand?type? are your handle bars? I like the clubman look, but after looking at your bike I'm REALLY digging the straighter bars.
