Hey Everyone
« on: November 26, 2009, 07:59:40 AM »
Hey everyone Im from Minnesota and I love the Honda CB750's. Ever since the early 70's I've had a passion for them and can't get enough of it. One of the cool things about them is there is an endless amount of things you can do with them. I'm going to try and stay as active in the forums as possible. Thanks, Mike

Welcome!  I agree I like the old Honda CB's partly because they get built into so many different styles, from choppers to drag racers to street fighters, trikes, lawn mowers, etc, etc, etc.

Your velocity stacks look nice, did you put any engineering into their length and flare?

Mike,

Welcome from another forum newbie.

Do you make stacks that will fit my '77 550K??  If so, how much?

I imagine a 140 or 150 main jet with velocity stacks.....big change in air volume! ;D

Thanks, sorry for the slow reply. We did put a little in. We know from over the years that if you were going to race with them then you wanted a shorter stack because it is a more direct sucktion at a higher rpm into the carb, and if you were just going to cruise then you wanted a medium to long stack. We made some at different lengths and found that at 2.5" made our bikes run pretty nice. So that's why make them at a standard 2.5" unless custom ordered to a different length.  As for the flare, we wanted to make something new looking. Something that you haven't seen yet. We came out with a pretty rigid flare at first. But then we also wanted to bring back the old school look with the belled flare so we started to make those also.

yup, we do make them for the 550's also. The price is the same as the cb750's because we use the same size material to make both of them. The price will depend on what kind of style you want. The style's are on our webpage, www.steeldragonperformance.com
As for the jetting, it depends if you have modified your engine, exhaust, etc...  Some jetting may be required.

Thanks.

Got it for $1500 bucks.  has 15K on the clock.

I wanted a VERY clean one to start with.  750's seem to be twice that cost, so I jumped on this.

P.S.  Thanks Joe for putting the pics up.
