CB500, 16" rear what tire width?
« on: December 11, 2009, 08:29:52 PM »
Im lacing a 16" rim to the rear of my CB500. Since its not together yet, I wanted to get a little input on what size tire I should aim for. I have the rim completely bare for now, and I measured the actual width from edge to edge, and it comes out to 4 1/8th in. There are no markings on the rim anywhere, so there is no "marked" size. I will be using the stock swingarm on my CB500, so what is a good sized tire to go with where I wont have problems of it rubbing on the swingarm? Im sure I will have to space out the arm that attaches to the bottom of the drum, but thats no problem.

120 or 130 wide with a slight pinch. 90 profile
slow and steady does nothing.
