is there any real difference between piston brands?

i've seen that both JE and Wiseco have pistons to do an 836 motor in the 750k's and theyre both the same price. does one have any advantage over the other? or does it not matter. i'm not going to be doing a big bore anytime soon, this is just idle curiousity on my part.

where are you sourcing your pistons?  What is the best price you're finding?

dynoman has both brands @ 10.5-1 compression 836 pistons for 469.00. the 12.5 - 1 pistons are a bit higher from JE

BK, There were many sources for BB kits in the day, and some of the differences were, Forged, cast, # & type of rings, Silicon content, & comp. ratio's.... If I was in the market, I'd go wisco, gambling on the future avaliability of replacement bits. luck G
