Local Lowes has a 6" grinder / buffer for $45.00 so I may just go that route.. Not sure. My drill bit the dust so I had to get a new one, so may just use that for the little buffing I have left to do. However I will keep both those options in mind as it maybe a better way to go.

The last big deal on this bike is the carbs. They are beyond filth. And the corrosion is horrific. So I'm nixing the ones that cam with the bike. Only to find that one of the replacemnt throttle bodies has a broken float pillar. So I'm going Frankenstein (thats Frunkenstien

) and putting the two together.

The first order is cleaning 25 years of crude from both sets. They are soaking in carb cleaner at present.

So to pass the time I cleaned and polished the float bowls.

Here is from left to right untouched,carb dipped,wire brushed, tripoli polished,

Then polihed with white compound and waxed out with mothers polish

The insides..some were pitted

its been a very long while since I posted......life has a bad way of getting between you and fun. Anyway I have been working at the bike slowly but surely. Rather than say anything I am going to just show pics. I have finished the Carbs, they are at the shop being gone over, I have a bunch of minor details to do and the carbs to put on but here it is......from wreckage to redemption
