Stockbridge , MI All Clubs Rally Sunday, Sept 20
« on: September 12, 2009, 05:26:31 AM »
I found this posted at the VJMC calendar:

Quote
September 20, 2009: Stockbridge, Michigan

Stockbridge All Clubs Day

This is the fall Suzi Greenway rally that is now in Stockbridge. They are calling it All Clubs Rally and therefore you will see all brands of motorcycles in the small town of Stockbridge, MI, located southeast of Lansing and northwest of Ann Arbor. Japanese bikes are more than welcome and the VJMC will be there. From 12 noon to 4 PM on Sunday, Sept. 20. Come ride in and spend the day.

Lots of nice bikes around the town square, and lots of good riding near Stockbridge.
There may also be a Poker Run on Saturday 19th. I'm looking into that.
EDIT: No plans for a poker run this year, weekend weather forecast is favorable.

I used to hunt over in Stockbridge. I recommend Dixies Diner for breakfast. Her cinnamon rolls rock. Gosh I hope she is still there.

Yeah, definitely worth going. At least just to check out all the old bikes. Most likely will happen again next year. Here is an interview I found with the host about the history of the event.

I didn't get there this year, but I have gone in the past. It's a great, informal event. Just stroll around and don't forget to bring a good camera.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Gordon, I plan to hit all of those next year too. Haven't been to Vintage Days or Gilmore yet, so I'm looking quite forward to those.

I counted nine CBX's at the VJMC lineup. I totally missed that lonely CB750 tucked in next to those 3 CBX's.

Sounds good jesus freek.

I don't think I caught this in any of my photos, but there were a few guys walking around in shorts and their riding boots... really!?

I finally checked them out a few Sundays ago. They've got a few nice bikes in the store and a very small accessories section. I don't know if they stock any parts but it appears you can order through them. They also do repairs on vintage bikes and cafe conversions. I doubt I'll need their repair services, but it's nice to have a place nearby that can work on our bikes if needed. In the storefront they sell locally roasted coffee. Nothing fancy, just leaded and unleaded, but it's darn tasty. They french press it actually.

Oh, their site is now up at http://www.caferacerypsi.com/, but they've got more info on Facebook.

Kevin. Thanks for posting the Stockbridge rally on this site. I am Steve Searles, the VJMC Michigan Rep. and I had one of the CBX's there. Good turn out and lots of Jap bikes. Yea!!  See you there next year I hope. PS: I just picked up a CB550K for the heck of it.
