Ah, yes... I see that now... good luck!  :D

Hey, I haven't had a chance to read the entire build thread but looks good from what I've had the time to read!

Judging from the pictures of the tank (I'm assuming it's the one you were talking about) that should be a pretty simple fix as long as the metal bordering the rip is in good condition. I already said it in my build thread but thought I'd pop over and toss it out here, if you want to send me the tank I'd be happy to fix it, it'd just cost you the price of shipping both ways. If it's just the straight tear I'm pretty sure (like 95%) that I can get it fixed and air tight without any sort of tank sealant (although I still like using them, I'm just wierd, I like to have all the holes fixed before I seal the tank). You'd likely have to use a wee but of body filler when I'm done, but the tank would be useable. In order to weld on it I'll have to flush it with water, so there will likely be rust inside the tank when I'm done (One of these days I'm going to get CO2 to use to purge the tank, but for now, water will have to do the trick.)

Anyhow, shoot me a PM and let me know if you're interested. Oh, and the tank is steel right? Sadly, I don't have the ability to work in aluminum yet, some day though.

Brandon
Sure it's for sale! How much you ask?? Well, how much are you willing to pay??? Now triple it, that's the price!

I could not be happier with Mannys tank.. Awesome job he did no it.. The picture looks like there is white flakes in the black paint, there is not its just plain gloss black by Rustolium the camera needs to be cleaned I think. I will be adding decals and then couple coats of clear gloss and she is done.

Well Finished the motor, pic's later I have some chrome to clean etc..

Here is a pic of the gas door it needs some touch ups but all and all not too bad.., and one of the screws that was a bugger to get out until I got that screw extractor kit.. The hex kit I picked up on ebay from ibuy.isell is missing about 8 hex bolts. So its off to true value tomorrow to get what I need, it would include the screw in this post. I hate that, don't tell me its for a CB550 when its not, or its complete when its not.. errr.. Oh well...

More later off to try and lace my front rim..

A couple more before I zip off to bed for the night.. Again the camera is crap but I am doing the best I can with it. I am working on a new one.. so until then.. here is what I have, I will have to get a better pic of the motor since its actually a little darker then it shows in this pic, and its a metalic Charcoal. Plus its blurry and I don't feel like going back out to snap another one.

I love the tank and engine, they look amazing so far!  It looks like your camera has a handful of dead pixels, as evinced by those hi-res images.

I believe you are correct.. I am currently looking at some and will get a new one soon.. Just not a high priority right now with the house being sold (maybe) and other things going on..

Thanks for the complements..

Yea, and its killing me, the weather has been perfect riding weather and I am dieing to hear her run, I am SOOOOO tired of the HD's running around here.. Sorry I know you own one, but after hearing them for days on end I get tired of the same sound and long for the inline fours! However that is just and I don't represent the SOHC4 community at large! ;)

Thanks, I like em and they went on easy.. I have a wrinkle on one side, however its hardly noticeable so I left it. Really good price on them also. You can get different colors and sizes and both left and right sides.. Showed up pretty quick also.

Hey now, one of those might have been my Buell!
Let's be nice!
Your project is looking incredible....love the frame color, and the engine paint looks superb!
I know it's frustrating to hear bikes tearin' it up around you on a warm spring day, but you gotta admit; it gives you enthusiasm!
It's easier to ask forgiveness than to gain permission.

Ok Well this was all I could pull together tonight.. The rims go in Saturday for rubber and truing etc.. (I gave up on trying to lace the front one, I have a spare with good spokes, but a slightly rusty rim.. I will use that for now and work on the other over the summer..) The motor should be in the frame this weekend!!!!

Again excuse the camera it looks like dust on the tank but there is none etc.. It will give you an idea where is headed.

Enjoy..
