aw c'mon... just one little hole...  :D :D ;D

-ok that's enough of that.

Down boy..  I know your on a mission to put holes in all the bikes of the world but you will have to resist this one.. at least for now.. ;)

YEAH!!! Stuff finally coming in.. I was going to oder some of this stuff from Havoc, but I got a good deal on it so I went ahead and got it. I will have more things to get from him.. Like new pods, controls etc..

Anyway here is what I got. As you can see in the picture I have Emigo Alum bar ends because I thought they were sold one each turns out the 1 each was one package of 2.. Just shoot me a PM if you want a pair.. Damn camera, the shocks are all chrome and shiny, tho its hard to tell from the picture.

Thanks for the kind words all hope it lives up to it..

Parts,

Shorty Shocks.
Pair of Galindo Pro Grips.
Emigo Alum bar ends to go with the grips...
Headlight visor (I know but I like the look, what can I say)..
A gold clutch cable adjuster nut.. Anodized I believe..

More coming soon!

Your bike is coming together very nicely!  You're giving me motivation for my 550.  Cracked me up to see you're upgrading SAN disk.  I used to sell SAN disk and tape for StorageTek and Sun, so you're taking me back in time!  I dig the color combo on Penguin.  It's gonna be sweeeet.

Thanks for the comments. Spring is almost here and its killing me that I have it where it is but the san upgrade is huge and taking a lot of time. By the way we are going from a mixed shop of Sun/HP san's to Hitachi and the only reason I can see why the move to Hitachi is because some one took some one high up out to lunch or some thing..  ;) However parts are rolling in now so its just a matter of finding more time. I set aside some time Sat and all of Sunday this weekend because we get a break from the upgrades..

GL with your build if you have a project post going please post the link here so I can follow it.. always love seeing what others do and getting ideas for mine via posts here or on other build threads.

Scott, those lunches always worked wonders!  My build is going slowly - just starting to work on the front end.  The link to my build thread is in my signature.  Can't wait to see what you get done this weekend!

Ok so spring is getting VERY close and I am feeling it. So I put some parts on the bike just to get an idea how its going.. So far I am happy with it. The gas tank and the seat are going to be the big factors.. I am sure Spikey will do a fabulous job so really its the seat I have to play with. Well anyway I have to move on from here to the rims, I have put off lacing them for too long now.. sigh..

Here are some pics..Remember they are just mach ups...

Yes.. However he has been in contact with me and has been busy. He just has to line the tank from what I understand. However like I told him I am about a month behind, so if I don't get it till end of April that's fine. I can't imagine I will be ready for it much before then.

Lol.. More then I wanted really but I am just gonna go with it. I should have called the project gold finger or some thing. However once every thing is bolted on etc.. it will mute it down some.. I think..

Thanks all.. I have taken a week off in 2 weeks to focus on the bike, I won't get it finished however It will be darn close. As for getting in the motor with out scratches I don't see how I can do that however I have touch up paint at the stand by! I have been working on little stuff. Fixing the ignition switch because I am tired of paying $30 for a switch that lasts only a few months and can't afford a direct replacement from Honda even if I could get one and things not worthy of posts or pictures..

More soon!!!

Fasturd, I'm in on the "over 40" thread!  Imagine all the tangents. . . where were you when you had your first California Cooler?  Do you jam U2/Tears for Fears in your garage while working on the scoot, or are you more of a Bon Jovi/Poison guy?

Zaipai, very cool that you got a vacation week scheduled to work on Penguin!  I'm looking forward to seeing the week's progress.

Thanks yea I am stoked and counting the days. I also just got news that my tank will be done soon and so perhaps I will have it then and can finish that up as well.

I am more of a classic rocker, Aerosmith, PinkFloyd etc.. However I through in some Matchbox 20 and Nickelback to off set it some. I had a lot of Wine coolers back in the day, remember Bartles and James? Zima? Yea.. Now I have wine or tea with Dinner and a beer when its hot and I am working on my ride.. go figure..

Just get it where you are happy with it, I will have no problem doing the finish sanding since I am going to paint it any way..

Thanks!

All very valid.. The tank, I don't worry about... a gallon is not that much (I also don't think is a gallon anyway) and worth the extra stop and gas stations around here are on every corner practically.

Color yes black.. Just like the one I thru on there for the photo after I painted the frame.

Seat will seat 2 as my daughters (yes both) and my wife want to go for rides with me. It how ever will be a custom seat made by a local guy
using the current seat pan and he will insert a Gel pad for those extra long drives...

I only wish I could get it all together when I take that week off in just over a week. However I should have 80% done.
