Topic: in search of a motorcycle

i'm in the states (south carolina) however i have a friend in sheffield uk who is looking for her first bike. she has around 400 pounds to spend right now but will have more as time goes on. if anyone cna help her out please let me know, this is a super nice young lady and i'd love to be able to help her out.

     should be her first port of call looking for a used bike.

Does she want a "bike" or an SOHC4?

Loads of choice for the first.

Not much around for the second, other than expensive restorations or ratty 400/4s

As a first bike (passed test?), a Bandit/Fazer/Hornet/CB500-2 might be found for that much, but for anything decent budget at least £1000

my first 400/4 was blue Reg No PSX113P, the second was Yellow Reg No PSX139R - I wonder if they are still around....
