As I like the 335 style, the trade would be worth it to me, especially for a rusted up bike.

i wouldn't think a $150 guitar made in china would be much good , there are plenty of 335 copies around  that are good quality, i have an ibanez  335 clone that plays and sounds great . might be worth advertising for a swap in the free papers and see what you are offered bucky

low cost does not always mean cheap. I own a charvette guitar and it is heavy and SOLID. The electronics are good and the finish is very tough. It would be considered a cheap guitar.

There are some cheap piles of crap out there in guitar land, but you are quite right "low cost does not always mean cheap." Edwards are a great example of this, although they have been sold for years as Made In Japan when in reality they have always been Made In China, they also don't use "real" mahogany they use some cheap Asian alternative. I collect Japanese Les Pauls and i have been able to buy some as cheap as $300 dollars and they eat Gibsons for breakfast. And before the Gibson crowd start crying poor, i have been playing for almost 40 years and do all my own work on my guitars, the Japanese quality is far more consistent than the Gibson's. Bucky, a 150 dollar guitar new is worth about 80-100 bucks second hand, you have to work out what you think your bike is worth and go from there..
