« on: December 21, 2009, 11:20:09 AM »
I searched, I promise I did.  ??? ;D

How do you go about cleaning out all the sludge from the inside of the oil tank?

Thanks!

Flushing oil?

Petrol?

I'd use very hot water and plenty of washing up liquid...then rinse with very hot water then leave to dry in the hot cupboard.
Bikes...they're in the blood.

I used a fairly hot, 50/50 solution of Simple Green and water. I let it sit for several hours, then rinsed with hot water until it was clear. Did a great job. Some of the gunk on the bottom, below the lip of the drain hole was pretty solid beforehand.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.
