Black bears in winter
« on: December 18, 2009, 06:31:36 PM »

Yesterday I almost hit a very large black bear 3/4 miles from my home at 7pm.
Actually thought I had grazed him.
The question is: why isn't this bear hybernating?
Could it be because the bear knows winter does not officially start for a few days?

Ok, let's hear it from the experts.

Does this bear have internet access?
If so, maybe insomnia caused by concern over airplanes on conveyors and leaky boats?

I've heard its a bear of a problem.
