Ha! Listen, IF it DOES snow on Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day, I'm saying that Brenda had something to do with it because she ALWAYS wished that we would have snow on Christmas and we rarely have had it that way. Not really expecting it, but IT COULD HAPPEN! We'll just have to wait and see. ;)

Thanks Paul. And I Pray that your Brother in law and kids have things work out for them. I can only imagine how THAT must be. BTW, makes Me wonder if Christine and Brenda met up up THERE. ;) They are probably keeping an eye on us.

                                             Take care Paul,  Bill ;)

I think in the snow belt we're going to have a green Xmas or a least freezing rain.

Uh Oh, I sure wouldn't want the freezing rain! That stuff can get pretty hazardous. :o

Holy crap! It sounds like I'm going to finally get a chance to cash in on all that stuff my dad promised me I can have only when Hell freezes over. (I'm not dissin' Arkansas, but I just figured it probably rarely ever snows there and if so, even more rare that it falls on Christmas Eve or Day) ;D ;D ;D

:D Hey, I know what you mean. I have not seen very times when we got snow, much less around Christmas. I'm sure I am forgeting SOME of the snows, but in the last bit, it hasn't been much. ;)

Here's what is predicted now. Of couyrse I KNOW how predictions go, especially around here. Usually when they say it won't, it DOES! But anyway, sure as I'm not ready, it WILL happen. ::)

"Winter storm watch in effect from 6 am cst Thursday through late thursday night,
The NWS in tulsa has issued a winter storm watch for heavy snow, which is in effect from 6 am cst Thursday through late Thursday night,
For the following counties,
In Oklahoma, pushmataha, choctaw and le flore.
In Arkansas, crawford, sebastian and franklin.
Hazardous weather, rain will change snow across southeast Oklahoma Thursday afternoon and will change over in west central Arkansas Thursday evening. A period of sleet may also occur during the transition time.
Up to 3 inches of snow accumulation is expected from 6 am cst Thursday through late Thursday night. However, higher amounts may be possible if the storm system tracks further south and east.
Impacts, roads, bridges, and overpasses may become slick and hazardous in the watch area, making travel treacherous. Power outages are possible.
Precautionary/preparedness actions, consider changing travel plans. Make sure you have an adequate supply of food, water and the necessary medication to last through the duration of the winter storm.
Stay tuned to noaa weather radio, commercial radio or television for the latest information concerning this weather event. Additional weather information can also be found at: weather.gov/tulsa.
Definition, a winter storm watch means heavy snow or a significant accumulation of ice or sleet is expected in the watch area during the next 24 to 36 hours."

                            We'll see! ::)

Well, this sure takes ME back, while looking out over the front yard at the snow covered lawn and street, I could imagine the 2 of us doing that and the comments that we made. Have to say that it brought tears to my eyes. I thought back on how I reacted to others losing a mate and THOUGHT I knew how I would feel and I wasn't even close! Folks can tell you, but you CAN'T even imagine unless you've BEEN THERE. To Loose a Loved One Is bad enough, but your Mate (IF you REALLY LOVED them, will really hit you HARD! I DO consider myself BLESSED to have had the PRIVILEGE to have had that time with Brenda and would DEFINITELY do it all over again, if given the chance! ;) IF I EVER do end up with someone else, I hope they are understanding enough to know that I'll NEVER forget Brenda as my FIRST REAL LOVE, even though I'd devote myself to the New Love as well.

Yeah, a pretty sight, long as you don't have travel much. I used to go up hwy 71 towards Fayetteville in the Winter and it sure was pretty, like a Christmas Card (only treacherous. ::)

Hey, that's cool that you have relatives there AND here. 8) Now, following those chicken trucks, ain't so cool. ::) Been there AND done that as well. :-X Hwy71 between Greenwood area and Fort Smith was pretty slick this morning too, I can only imagine what it was like on further up the way. Always is worse up around Fayetteville an such. :-\

Jim my brother in law can't even give us the respect to call us on Christmas so we can talk to the kids. We have tried 3 phone #'s that he gave us and no answer's on any many time's today. He gave me and my mom a box the day before they left. It was a few wedding present our aunt and uncle bought for Them. Me and my mom where blown away when we saw what else was in there. Her Ashes. So we have Christine up next to dad. I cant believe that he would want to leave everyone behind. I think he didnt feel that close to us and had to do his own thing.

That is really too bad about how he is acting. Sure makes you wonder what's going through his head, for him to leave those things behind, especially her ashes. I guess there was no indication before, about how he felt? Sure leaves a lot of unanswered questions. I can't imagine, myself. Personally, I try to touch base with my Mother-in-law off and on (at the very least).  I also have gone over there, when I have been down to Little Rock. I mean, when you get married, your FAMILY is supposed to EXPAND. I KNOW that, in a number of cases this isn't the case. I became pretty close to MY inlaws, when I married Brenda (especially her Mom & Dad). I really FEEL for You All, in this Paul.

                                        Take care, Bill ;)

So how white was it? ours was about 18 inches white at the in-laws and about 23 inches at home. Luckily my next door neighbor and our neighbor across the street(who happens to be the mayor) blew out our driveway 3 or 4 times!

Shoot, we were only predicted for about 2-4". Good enough for ME! ;D Besides, I have to get out at least once a day and go take care of my Dad's Blood sugar check and give him his insulin shot. Wouldn't be Too bad, except for the idiots with 4 wheel drive (along with the others) who have NO sense and thin they can go ANYWHERE! You Know, the kind who'll run YOU off into a ditch, as THEY go trucking past you! >:( ::) I've seen a few of them end up off in a ditch themselves and fortunately not hurt. I certainly DON'T envy you all who get some REAL snowfall!  ;)
