Nice looking bike, he has some $$$ into it that is for sure. The 5,000 asking price might just be a break even price. I mean a custom frame alone is some bucks. No bids yet.. It is a one of a kind to be sure.

From auction:

We have not applied for a title yet. Buyer can obtain their own brand new title at their local tax collectors office. It is very easy to do and will save you lots of money, simply take the Bill of Sale (Receipt) that we'll give you to the tax office and get your title in the mail within a few weeks.

That statement is VERY presumptuous, and is just begging for problems from the potential buyer.

I don't understand the front brake...  why didn't he just use 750 fork lowers?

what are the forks he's got on there?

Obviously pics only say so much but that looks to be a well done bike. It is classic looking without all sorts of goofy crap on it to make it "original".

Nice looking bike, but very insulting!

WTF?  He calls it a "Harley" just because of the frame?!  I'd think the Honda engine is the most important part!

Its "well done" as long as you dont want to ride it. As 754 mentioned already the frame is a mess...look closely...that bike has "deathtrap" written all over it  ;)

Not sure how you can really truthfully come to that conclusion without actually seeing the frame first hand. It is an odd design for sure but that does not make it bad. Only potentially bad spot might be at the back of the tank where the top of the rigid connects to the frame but you cant really see how it is braced.
Those low res pics do not really enable a person to make anything but an opinion really.

I dont see anny connection to a Harley.

May have been a Harley frame but it is not now..

The backbone that turns down (probably to go behind motor in orig application) & diasappears into the carbs, is the epitome of non functionality...

Bought from Harley Davidson corporation.. ??? hello, never heard of it, Harleys are made by the Motor Co, have been  for over 100 years..

Keyword spamming to a high degree, looks like..

Frame is a mess.. not from HD, its a butchered aftermarket frame..

Ahem.... Spoiler alert.

John Olin - VP/Controller/CFO of HD & HDMoCo

"HDMoCo has NEVER.... nor will EVER.... make a frame for any other engine that isn't rebadged a HDMoCo. We have never made in the past, even for racing teams, a frame that was designed for anything other than a HDMoCo product. If the person you are referring to has claimed that the frame was made by HDMoCo they are wrong, and if it is decided they will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law."

As quoted by Mr. Olin on the phone this morning. My father (a staunch HD supporter) decided to call his friends and complain. Never knew he knew someone so high up.

Well I do have his old 48 Panhead. But I refuse to ride it for fear of scratching it.

So Japanese it is. Or Italian. Or German.

But he has a Gold wing as well. Go figure. The Hipocrite. :D
