Well....here is the deal:
I sold the bike to this guy....A Vietnamese guy in L.A. Now, I see he tried to sell it....to "flip it" for a profit. So, I look on eBay, and the top bidder was somebody with a "0" buying score. This smells of a "shill bid" or the seller creating his own account and trying to drive up the price in an attempt to "nudge" the other bidders to outbid him, and thus drive the selling price up. Now, it if WAS a shill bid, and he is the top bidder, all he can do is 1. Relist the bike and try to sell again, 2. Cotnact the 2nd highest bidder...tell him the winning bidder backed out and sell it to him at that bidders highest bid, or 3. sit on it, and sell it later, like next spring.
I sent an e-mail to him, seeing if the bike is still available. Let's see what happens.
He took a gamble. His gamble was that he could get it from me, and flip it for a quick buck.
My guess is he just screwed himself.
550's are NOT worth the big bucks a 750 is. Is it possible that he thought it would be? $6500 would buy a TOP NOTCH 750. ANYONE who bought that bike for $6500 is a FOOL. They could have got it ALOT less from me!
I tried to sell his bike, and kept lowering the price until it sold. NO ONE was interested. Now, all of a sudden he finds this invidible market for it? I call bull$hit.
All these posts from guys acting "interested" in the bike...where the hell were you when the bike was offered? Too many people act interested....until it's time to show the greenbacks, then everyone is strangely silent. Why is that? HMMMMM???
If someone bought that bike from him for $6500....they are stupid. As the BUILDER of that bike, I can tell you it was NOT worth that much. 5 grand TOPS.
IF YOU, THE PERSON READING THIS, BOUGHT THAT BIKE FOR $6500....YOU POOR BASTARD, YOU GOT SCREWED.
