whats a monkey wrench?,us aussies call it a "shifter"i think its an "adjustable spanner" in england.,we also have a ring spanner,pommies call it a box spanner i think,our litre equals 4.5 gallons,but thats our old gallons,what is a us gallon?gas is petrol here,our gas is called "lpg" (liquefied petroleum gas)for automotive use,we dont have "yeild" signs ,ours say "give way",any one else have any terms we might clear up?we have a windscreen,versus your windshield,we dont "pop the trunk"we open the boot,,same goes for your hood ,,its our bonnet.

the monkey wrench is also called, depending on what part of the US youre in, a Stillson wrench, or pipe wrench as well

vegemite mate! my aussie friend is here right now and were having vegemite and toast. were going over the different terms australians use. power point = power outlet, schooner = glass of ... , middy = half glass of ... , botlo = liqueur store, tucker = dinner, stubbie = bottle of beer

dogs eye and horse=pie and sauce
wallaby ted=rooted

There are so many Aussie colloquialisms its hard to keep up... ;)

In New Jersey they say "us'e guys when talking to a group of people.  In the south we say "Y'all".  The plural of "Y'all" is "All Y'all"
