Hi - I am slowly putting together a CR750 rep. and, inspired by Lord Moonpie's effoorts, am searching for the 2LS rear hub and an authentic 4-4 exhaust system. Could Lord Moonpie advise where I can get them from? Thanks in eager anticipation..., Phil

Hey Phil,

Still searching for that 2LS rear? Think you will have to build that 'authentic' system yourself. All there is are copy's, some better than others, but still needs work. Primary's is no problem. Can supply neat pipes, but not 'authentic'.

Phil, I emailed you some info. Incidentally, if Mark is using the same supplier he used to, the M3 brake comes from the same foundary I mentioned.

Glad you like my build - I think 8 months is OK for an engne build after all it did take me 14 months just to get the camshaft re-ground. Add 6 months for the rods, two months for the pistons, 3 months for the DLC pins...it all adds up and before you know it six years have gone by LOL!

These CRs are addictive - yours is the best that I have seen outside Honda's collection I saw in their museum at Suzuka! Well done! I would love to see a CR750 race against a Rob North Trident. If CRMC would ever let one in I'm sure it would be competitive. If only one could get the weight down, 90BHP would be more than enough - wouldn't it?

I'd have thought that 90 bhp would be very competitive over here. I think the CRMC does allow them now but you have to stay close to 750cc - I think they allow 62mm pistons because of the difficulty of getting the original 61.5mm pistons though. One of the tricks to getting the weight off is to go to a modern replica frame in lighter tubing. I know it's possible as I've seen it done recently but of course it's significant extra cost....>sigh!< These CR's are addictive for sure but your wallet takes a pounding LOL!

Rear mag hub that I sell is an exact replica of original factory hub.  Even brake shoes have  correct part # cast on them..the other versions do not. I also have the correct spacers for rear axel.

That's well worth considering Phil - Mark's spacers mean the whole lot just slots straight in and lines up perfectly, no messing. I can vouch for the quality of the hub from M3 too - it's just perfect. Can't say I've seen any of the others except for one being made in batches of six in the UK from a "works pattern". It was dreadful quality and finish...you pays your money you makes your choice. Quality doesn't come cheap and with all of these things cheap parts are a false economy.
