2 pics of Race Rods we have had made here in the UK. Company that made them says they are as strong as Carrillos but cheaper.

Tell me more about the rods please.... ;D  I am very interested..

I've got a really bad case of piston-envy now. Are those Arrow Rods by any chance?

It's okay that he kidnapped it , he called me today for some other things and we talked about this and I agreed.

Hi TG,

The purpose of this practice was to get the right feeling with the bike for my son and to test the engine.
Well you've red about the valve problem.
My friend the no.46 was already going fast , but he has already raced two seasons with his bike.
But for him it was six month ago he was on the bike and wanted also to get back the right feeling before the first race.
Most of the time he stayed ahead of the modern bikes.
We didn't time anything.

He is pretty big also a 188cm and I think 95 kg , but for two years his weight was about 110 kg.
My son is 175cm and 75 kg, so he has an advantage in weight.
See the internetsite of no.46 , he raced also with a Norsa , thats an ESO engine in a Norton frame.

I don't know any laptime at Croix.

The exhaust system of his bike is specially made for his bike, cost E.1200,=
I build one from an old CB500 4 in 1 and a Suzuki Bandit 600 silencer, costs E.185,=
And we can also use the 650 oilpan because of the flat collector.

Oh yes  ???, I was forgotten that Gerard had indeed such a laptimer , it's my age :(
So his laptime was two seconds faster then Dennis Coumoul and that in the first practice this year and under cold conditions.
My son is nowadays my memory. ;)

The guy is not really fast but the bike, our bike has the same speed and a better accelleration because the less weight of my son.
In the dutch classic scene there are faster guys them him , but last year he finished on the podium.

The engine is running again, today we mounted the cylinderhead.
The problem with the valve was probable to little clearance between the valvestem and valveguide.
The valves we are using have normally the same stemdiameter as the original Honda valves.
But measuring the valve stems they were all 0,02 mm thicker than the originals.
But this bunch of valves were all that thicker , so we made the valveguides a little bit wider.
So up to the first race to Assen at Eastern.
I don't expect anything yet from my son, only to finish without problems.

For the Belgian races we intend to do , I made today an open megaphone from an old exhaust.
These races have no sound limits  ;D

I'm wondering what the purpose of these blockoff screws is.  I'm guessing it's just to save the weight of the little endcaps as it seems they justblock the flow of oil out these holes as well.  You just had to drill and tap the rocker cover correct?

Just call me Timmaaaaay!!!
