I have an appointment made for the dyno at 3 march.
And on 5 march we go to a suspension specialist to adjust the frontfork and the shockabsobers.

I guess there was no cover on it. I thought that maybe you had a clear cover over your points.
Cafe Racing is mainly a matter of taste. It is an atavistic mentality, a peculiar mix of low style, high speed, pure dumbness, and overweening commitment to the Cafe Life and all its dangerous pleasures. wow, i actually counted 11 races... are you planning to do them all?

dont know if this is true, but i heard that in germany vintage racing is only on regularity, and only "grab the flag" do "true races"

Hi Tg,

We have the intention to do all eleven races.
The races in Germany on this calender are for the dutch classic championship under dutch classic rules.
Besides this races we have the plan to do also some races for the Belgium championship.
It's gonna be a busy raceyear.

Indeed there was no cover on it , maybe we have to do some adjustments when we go on the dyno.
When the ignition is oké we put a cover on it.

Can you tell me what's the purpose of the two brackets under the carbs that have the rear motor mount going through them?  Initially I thought it was for a race stand of some sort but they look like they pivot.
Those are some neat adapters you made for the CRs.

Anyone want to take bets?

I'll go with 47 rwhp @ 9500 rpm.
Take care,

TG come on, it can't be that easy to almost double the stock output.  What's a stock 550 put out?  35 horses?  The 500 I bet is about 30-32.  I'd be interested in the mods you did to get where you are.

that easy? pulling my leg?  :)

so yes,  easy like a few 100's hours of work on the engine alone

check my "10 deg downdraft" and "racer update" threads, just too much too list. After you'll see how my power curve looks, not sure that you'd like to replicate my work for a street bike....

Very nice Howell - are you going to paint the bike or leave it white? (never mind the dyno - what colour is it?!  :D)

Looking at the video, it hangs onto its revs a long time, is that just you letting the throttle off slowly or is there some other reason?

I seem to regularly underestimate the potential of these little engines.  Must be all the time I've spent trying to coax 1hp per 10cc from British pushrod twins.  ;)
