Topic: IMDb forum

Have any of you ever posted in their "forum?" 

For those that don't know, IMDb is the "Internet Movie Database."  You can find all kinds of info there about movies.  And each movie has a discussion "forum." 

Anyway, those fora are terrible.  Seems like everyone is out to flame everyone else.  I think the fora there are dominated by young kids just trying to agitate other people.  It's nuts.

They are probably the most hostile fora on the internet, with the possible exception of the political ones.

I use the IMDB all the time, but I've never looked in on any of the discussions, and from your description it doesn't sound like there's any need to.

It's the best for when you're watching something and thinking "what else did I see that chick in?".  It's also great for settling arguments about who was in what.

If you check out the forums on mopedarmy.com there are some real trolls over there. It's downright terrible what they say sometimes. I think it's because they simply don't have any moderators, so anything goes. Just makes me more appreciative of what we have here.
