forward controls

I really want to build forward controls on my 71 cb500..... anyone else have em? I could really use some pics, plans and feedback. with the planned seat position and the pull back on the bars..... FCs are the only way to go.

in the past i picked up an old set of HD forward controls, then used a piece of round stock welded plates to that and mouned that to the front down tubes with U bolts... held up great! made my own linkage and was golden! i can try and dig up some pics of it

Early Sportster aftermarket forward controls had cable brake setups, and when mounted with custom brackets they worked great.  RR

thanks for the input guys... some pics would be great, if possible.  I just want to be sure this bike maintains the look and build style it had back in the 70s... it just seems like the right thing to do.
