Topic: 2009 Ford Amber Gold Clearcoat Metallic Paint vs. Candy Gold?

I was trying to get a local paint match and someone recommended this color. Has anyone parked a real Candy Gold color bike next to it to see how they compare? I'm looking for a "close enough" match.  They used to have one at the local Ford dealer but now of course it's gone....

GQ is the Ford paint code, go to anyplace that mixes automotive paint and ask to see the chip of it...I lent my 09 Ford deck out so I don't have that chip...i'll let ya know when I do get it back heh.

I love the candy gold paint. I'm thinking of repainting my bike that color.

Its a nice color for sure.. The match looks "close enough" but it depends on what you do.. If its just for touching up nicks it should work fine.. Getting the paint chip is a good idea tho.. Can tell a lot more that way.

Wow, that looks pretty close from the pics. I've always really liked that color. I've kicked around the idea of doing my scrambler in that color with lots of black and dark gray engine fins and covers. Hmmm, I'll be waiting for the verdict on this one.
