can i turn my 76 cb750f into a 76 cb750k?
« on: June 06, 2005, 12:10:40 PM »
was wondering if tank, side covers, seat and rear fender from a 76 cb750k model will fit without modification onto my 76 cb750f.  not really into the look of the f model any more and would be easier just to swap parts.  also would like to add fork gators to the naked forks of the f model.  any help would be apperciated

thanks

The sidecovers will not swap.  Don't know about the tank, seat and rear fender.  You can add gators.  Just remove the old dust seals and install K model gators.  Use an old fork seal (with a slit cut into it) at the top of the gator and secure it with a hose clamp.

Instead of looking at changing an F to a K why not sell the F and buy a K?  Or better yet, just buy a K and keep the F.  Then you could suffer from MBS (multiple bike syndrome) like a whole bunch of us do.   ;D

lol. yea listen to mike..it's actually fun to have both..
to be honest, it wouldn't look like the 'f'.  frame setup is a bit different
specially the swingarm.. the tank will fit and the seat but I think it's too much of a hassle looking
the for 'k' tank and a seat that's in great shape with bargain price..

Jeez!  Did you have to go back to page 1 for this thread?  This version of the forums was only created a few months before this thread was started. ;D ;D ;D

It's like deja vu...all over again.... ;D :D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
