PORTLAND FOLKS: doomtown motorworks shop-warming party
« on: December 29, 2009, 12:43:32 PM »
Hey guys,

As some of you may know, we just moved shop into a nice big (4000sf) new facility, and are having a shop-warming party on Saturday Jan, 9. There will be beer there, but feel free to bring more!

The address is 525 NE 19th, behind the yellow building that houses Black Sheep Bakery. We're between Glisan and Irving, just North of Sandy. For those of you that haven't been to the old shop, it's just around the corner from Doc Brown's. For those of you who have, it's literally next door to where we were.

Oh yeah, mark.... we're having a party.  ;D

Proposed event:

The Slow Race

Riders line up at one end of the parking lot.
The flag drops, and the LAST one to reach the other side without putting a foot down wins.
If you put your foot down, you are disqualified.

Could be fun.

Done that sort of race at bike parties before.  Fun!

Challenging on the chopper :D

Ah yes, having re-read the announcement for the party, I see now that it is planned for January 9th.  Imagine Paul's surprise (surprise!) when I showed up, friends in tow, to the shop tonight.  It was a good thing we had beer and brownies to share!  Well, I supposed it was a prewarming party... you know, make sure you know your way there, that you get your entrance just right, and, of course, scout out the place so you know just what to bring and what to wear.  sheesh.

I am such a dork.
I think I've got a lock on the slow race.

Just so everyone is clear, I am NOT a member of DTR MC. Those dirty punks of DTR aren't cool enough for me to be a member. (ok, so yeah, they rejected my application.)
