I've got an exhaust similar to that, a 4-2 that pairs 1 and 4 then 2 and 3. Mines different in that the crossover happens under the bike instead of over it.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

See thats why I havent posted anything on this thread. Knowing my dumb a$$ I would post a member's bike! There are some ugly ones on this thread no doubt. The one with garbage bag fork gaiters takes it. Got to agree with IC on that chopper, tho. Some interesting characteristics, but hideous.

Hah! Hi Terry! I thought I might see you again on this thread after my last post. Why don't you show all of the new and unwashed ones here a close-up of you're tank? It's cool and doesn't fit under the title of the thread...but neither does the bike itself. Howz it goin' pal?

G'Day Mike, I'm good mate, Happy New Year! Here's a close-up of that tank, I bought it from one of the members here a few years ago, it was painted (and signed) by a guy called "Wojowicz" in 1974, and I think he did a pretty cool job. I initially built the bike over a weekend in 2005, from a bare frame without swingarm, and from parts I'd bought on EBay, or at swapmeets etc, so it's a real "bitsa".

The laquer had dulled somewhat on the tank, so I hit it with a couple of coats of 2 pack clear, just to brighten it up a tad. All the "marks" that you think you can see are actually reflections, as the 2 pack clear gives it a permanent "wet" appearance.

I've currently got the hot rod 836cc RC/Mike Rieck engine in it that I built for my racer project as the racer has stalled somewhat. In it's cruiser guise with 2" over front forks, pullback bars and a lowered rear end, it's frightening to ride at 120 MPH in third gear @ 11000 RPM, but I'll eventually find another stock(ish) 750 engine for it, and just enjoy it as a "daily rider". Have a good one Mike, Cheers, Terry. ;D

Sweet ride huh? But the price was right and it has a big bore kit and runs great. Parts donor bike. You should have seen it with the extended forks, sissy bar and king and queen seat. Moss growing on the rocker cover.

Hideous? Yes. But I would ride it like it is.  ;D Slap some kind of seat on there and personalized plate that says "RAT BYK."  ;D ;D ;D

That was the plan but alas, I got K0'ed and it needed an engine,,,,
I was trying to save the green stuff growing on the rocker cover but now it has a chrome one. It's hard to believe that engine wasn't stuck at all. The intake rubbers were packed with plastic shopping bags.
New plan, Rat chopper, once I get another engine running. The neck is raked and I still have the 6" over forks, drag pipes, king and queen, sporty style sissy bar and 16" hog rim. The drag bars were cut and welded from some wrecked pullbacks. Oh yeah, 39 chevy sedan delivery taillight.

Hey Terry you did a great job on that tank! Last time I saw it was before Chris shipped it to you and it didnt look like that! (otherwise I would have kept it!).
