20-22 carb reading cb 750

20-22 carb  reading cb 750
Just wandering if reading are higher or lower what effect does that have?

standard carb readings are 20-22hmg if reading goes higher or lower what efect does that have on  bike

If it goes higher your idle speed is higher.  If it goes lower your idle speed is lower.  When synching carbs you're not looking at the actual reading, you're just setting them so they're all the same.

Oh, he's looking at the vacuum on a carb synch tool.

That's good to know.

As Gordon said, just work on getting them even, then adjust idle. Yer fine.

No.  The vacuum reading only shows how much air is moving through the intake.  The amount of fuel that is mixed in with that air does not effect the reading.
