goodbye
« on: December 31, 2009, 07:54:31 AM »
for now. Just sold the bike to a local guy here in ny. Needed the money to fund another project. Can always build another. This site has been great and I really appreciate all of your help while building this bike. This was my first bike, first build. Thank you again, safe riding.

Man I love the thriftmasters Chevy trucks, that 54 is the last year of the first series right? Straight 6 236ci? I always wanted one of those. What are you gonna do with it?

Yeah, you don'y have to leave mate, half of the turkeys here have SOHC4's that haven't turned a wheel since Jesus played full back for the Jerusalem under 15's! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

That truck looks like it just might fit a couple of SOHC4's at a pinch, always good to know someone with a pick-up truck in case we break down. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Terry, you are one funny as MOFO. That was histerical. Still laughing as I type.

The truck should be able to fit a couple bikes in the back. I am going to include tie down points in the back of the truck, just in case  ;)

Ironbutter. The body style I have (1st series) was made in 54 and 55. In 55 they jumped to the new body style as well as having the older body. 55's are a little harder to come by. Most folks dont like the grill style on the truck, many like the straight slat grill found on the 49-53's. I like mine and going to modify the grill. Its a really fun project. Figuring out paint is next. I am thinking of doing a peal cream with black and burgundy leather.

Thanks again guys, definately wont be a stranger!
