Spark plug wire/cap snapped...wtf? 82 cb650 nh
« on: January 02, 2010, 02:03:21 AM »
OK, so I've rebuilt my carbs, successfully set my timing and valves, and now I am stuck on what appears to be a very simple issue. When I was putting my plugs back in I somehow  managed to snap the cap off a plug wire. The funny thing is, there is a screw inside the cap, but no threads or anything on the wire. Just 3 or 4 loose wires.

Is there a ghetto fabulous way to attach this little fella again or do I need to buy new wire? Caps are Nichiwa XD05F if that makes any difference.

take about 1/8" off the wire and just screw the cap onto the wire, making sure that the little brass screw in the cap goes into the center of the wire
