I was using my 4'x8' flatbed utility trailer and finally broke down and got this new off ebay. cost me 2.5k less than anything I could find around at all the trailer places. Only a 6'x12' but I can get 3 in it.

I need to revisit this thread because of a question thats come up. When I go to wire the power for the winch, I was wondering if I can tie the power into the trailer lights? I plan on getting a new light kit, and while im installing  it, it would nice if I could power up the winch at the same time. Has anybody done it like this?

you will blow the fuse for the lights. winch will draw way too much amperage. I ran a fused # 6 wire straight from the batt to the trailer plug(7pin round) to power it.
