Bought a 1975 cb550f bike about a year ago. It was all original accept for the starter button box.
I fell in love with the cafe look and sohc4 bikes. "hooked"
I also have a 04' Ducati Monster. Something about the naked sport bikes that I love.
It is getting harder to find time considering I have a 2 year old and other things going on.
Items completed so far...
-new grips
-clubman handlebars with wires pulled through
-new mirrors
-new dummy console
-refurbished headlight bucket
-headlight visor installed
-stripped and high temp painted headers
-luckily found mint original muffler
-rebuilt carbs
-removed all unneeded parts
-installed pod filters
-took hacksaw to back end
-new front turn signals
-refurbished gauges (polished chrome covers, protected inside of covers from rust, painted housing, created and installed new gauge face decals, painted needles, etc)
-bought right side cover (hard to find and expensive)
-other items that I cant think of right now
Items left to complete...
-paint
-install checkered racing stripes and "550" decal stickers
-rear turn signals
-build fiberglass seat
-brake light and license plate holder combo
-other items that I cant think of right now
